Alan Dargin, Didgeridoo

(Cultural note: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this posting contains images and the name of a person who has passed away).

I was happily listening to this album, "Bloodwood", at the gym this afternoon:

I was admiring Alan Dargin's great talent and virtuosity, without realising that he is no longer with us. I've only just read that he died on 24 February, 2008 (13 July 1967 – 24 February 2008).

From Wikipedia:

'Dargin was diagnosed with burst veins in his throat and was warned by doctors that continued playing of the didgeridoo to generate a "fast, complex and loud sound" in "his forceful style" could endanger his life'. Tragic.
