800000000 Chickens Each Year

I don't know if it's true, but this morning the BBC stated that in the UK we eat eight hundred million chickens each year.

The programme dealt with the questionable welfare of the chickens as a result of intensive, high density battery farming and overcrowded conditions.

Here are two classic R 'n' B songs to remind us of the dangers to health, animal or human, of being bred like "couch potatoes". Guess the titles!

Rufus Thomas 1

Rufus Thomas 2 (great live concert, Watts, 1972)

Louis Jordan (1956)
